Latitude festival is one of our favourite UK festivals for so many reasons, aside from the fact we headline the In The Woods Stage each year and have SO MUCH fun with that, the music line up is also the best everrrr – something that didn’t go unrecognised at the Festival Awards last year with Latitude Festival being awarded ‘Best Line Up’.
As well as seeing my all-time favourites last year, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, I also fell in love with so loads of artists I’d never heard before such as Mø (I was probably WAY behind the band wagon on that one) – who quickly become some of my top artists of 2013. If you haven’t listened to her before GET ON IT NOW.
Mø is super-cool-girl-power badass babe. She has been described as the new Grimes – but don’t worry Grimes we still love you too- with her music taking influence from Sonic Youth, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, J Dilla, Major Lazer, Santigold, Twin Shadow, Lykke Li = everyone we love. And as if we didn’t have enough reason to love her, like a true girlfriend she released a cover of ‘Say You’ll Be There’ by SPICE GIRLS – my favourite band of all time (see my shrine on tumblr) on VALENTINES DAY. Honestly. Who needs a valentine when you have Mø. I’m totes in love.
